Volunteer Opportunities

In the past few years, we have:

  • Expanded our Meals on Wheels program: allowing us to reach more of the community                        
  • Expanded our building: relieving overcrowding and overlapping events
  • Expanded all programming: including fitness classes, social programs & outreach programs

There's a lot more to be accomplished, and we need your help to ensure that our area seniors age with dignity. Click the + below for the opportunities we have available.

Meals on Wheels & Community Outreach Opportunities

Meals on Wheels drivers pick up the meals and deliver them to the homes of people living within the Comal County area. Meals on Wheels drivers also play a huge role in checking in on the clients by providing a wellness check during their visit. We also have homebound seniors that need help getting to and from appointments as well as those that need help with maintenance and yard work. 

  • Meals on Wheels/Pets on Wheels Driver
  • Drive a Senior (errands, groceries, appointments, etc.)
  • Lawn Work & Maintenance for Home Bound Seniors
  • Kitchen Helper

  • Front Desk (greeting members, giving Center tours, answer phones, misc. tasks)

Special Events & Fundraising

We hold many events and fundraisers throughout the year and always need help with planning, set-up, event day work, clean-up, etc.

  • Festival of Trees/Wine Tasting
