Meals on Wheels Volunteers

We are always in need of volunteers to help with the route delivery, substitute for meal deliveries and help with kitchen/meal preparations.

Volunteers are an important role to ALL non-profit senior meal programs! You don't have to just be a cook or have a lot of time. Just a few hours a month can go a long way. Many homebound have low social activity, so seeing a volunteer's smiling face when they receive a meal is sometimes their only daily contact. Your efforts going in with "eye's opened" during these daily contact's help keep us aware of the needs for the homebound that could be met through our outreach services and community programs. Keeping them aware of assistance and community partnership increases their chances of living independently in a safe environment and decreases their lack of fear of just being out there alone. Our program is about more than just a meal!

To apply for home delivered meals, please contact Sandra Faust at sfaust@bsbac.com or 830-438-3111.

Come help us to continue to make a difference in our community! Without volunteers this program could not succeed!
